The audience is hushed and expectant, engulfed in the delicious smell of incense when suddenly, from a far distance behind them comes "IFETAYO...LOVE BRINGS HAPPINESS" sung in traditional call and response with loud clear village voices. The Story Dancer and Drum Talker make their way through the audience playing dumbek and zils (Oriental African drum and finger cymbals). Once on stage they perform an ancient Vedic healing ritual and everyone is invited to send out love around the world. The songs and stories begin with a beautiful chant..."All of Us Are One". Then the first story, a happy delight for all little people..."Why the Sky is So Far Away"...followed by the hard to forget call and response "Think Say Do Something Good"...but the most fun and most interactive is the last story "Amma and the Secret Dances" by Makalani Nosakher. When it ends the whole audience is on its feet dancing. Then everyone offers peace and love in American Sign Language and sings ..."Ifetayo ~ Love Brings Happiness".
