This class is designed to inspire and help guide all students, teachers and performers toward dancing with intention and purpose. It offers a calming guided meditation, soulful and rhythmic music from around the world with earthy and sensual dance movements and gestures that help generate self-healing. This class is an attempt to restore some of the >expressions of love and beauty that were once an important part of and the primary purpose for dancing.
Those of us who can dance, must dance! As well-nourished world citizens who care about healing, it is our obligation to dance for those who are suffering and cannot dance. It is said that it is our dancing that keeps the heavens from falling. This workshop begins with a restful meditation; and then, wearing colorful wraps tied around our hips, we shimmy, shake, sway and swoon to the music of Africa,the Caribbean, Hawai,India and latin America
